For many Christians, a study of the Old Testament can be an overwhelming task. It is easy to be intimidated by the vast amount of material and one can get lost in the details. In this class, we will explore some of the "Great Chapters of the Old Testament" and trace the main storyline of the unfolding of God's redemptive plan for humanity. Each class will consist of a quick overview of the chapter with time left for an interactive discussion. Come and be inspired by the plan of God by exploring chapters such as: Genesis 1, Exodus 20, 1 Samuel 17, Psalm 23, Isaiah 6, and many others.
►Ladies’ Class: Real Women . . . Real Problems Judy Blanks Room 204
The women of the Bible were real women with real problems. They grieved over infertility, the sickness of their children and the death of their loved ones. They battled worldliness, anxiety, envy, bitterness. Weak male leadership disheartened them. This study will examine the stories of some of these women.
►I Am Second Robby Wallace Room 206
Athletes, actors, models, musicians, preachers and politicians…What do these people have in common with us? They’ve all hit bottom. And none of them stayed there. They have stepped forward, looked into a camera, and proclaimed, “I am second.” “I Am Second” is a mindset meant to inspire people of all kinds to live for God and for others. Join us as we journey from stories of loneliness, destruction and unfulfillment to lives full of hope, help and inspiration that was found, and can only be found, through the grace of God.
