Our Mission
Stepping Stones Preschool was established in 1983 to provide a Christian preschool program for the Maryville area. We continue to offer an educational-based half day preschool program for children ages three through five years of age. The staff at Stepping Stones Preschool strive to provide an environment for children to learn, grow and develop skills that will help make them successful in school and in life.
Our Center
We are blessed with a staff that has a multitude of talents and experience. Our staff is well trained and continues to participate in additional training each year. There is one or more staff members with CPR and First Aid training on duty at all times. This preschool has participated and achieved the Three Star rating for many years. To be a Three Star center, a center must be evaluated and rated as having the Highest Quality Standards in the following Categories: Director Qualifications, Professional Development, Developmental Learning, Parent/Family Involvement, Ratio and Group Size, Staff Compensation, and Program Assessment.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is one that has been developed over 30 years by our staff. Our teachers use ideas and concepts from a multitude of resources and make updates each year to be able to prepare our students for the ever changing expectations they face in the school systems. Music and Art are incorporated into our program to help develop the whole child. Our teachers nurture the development of a well-rounded student by working on fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and academics at an age appropriate level..
Our Programs
Our school year runs from August through May. Just as the local school systems, we enjoy the following breaks: Fall Break in October, Christmas Break in December, and Spring Break in March. Registration for the upcoming school year begins in March. We begin taking a waiting list for registration in October for the upcoming school year.
We offer classes for three, four, and five year olds.
Our optional Extended Day Program provides additional care for our students before and after class as well as on Thursdays. Students enjoy a lunch their parents have provided, a time to rest, and additional time to learn and play with friends.
We offer a Summer Program for current and former students. This program offers flexible days and times to accommodate busy family summer schedules. Students enjoy an educational curriculum presented in a fun summer atmosphere.

Class Information:
All classes meet Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
3-Year-Old classes meet from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
4-Year-Old classes meet from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15p.m.
5-Year-Old classes meet from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Must by 5 yrs of age by December 31st.
Tuition and Fees for 2022/23 school year:
Registration fee:$100 due at the time of registration.
Tuition is based on a yearly amount and is broken into ten equal payments of $250
Extended Care : $5 per hour, Registration is a yearly $25 fee.
We are closed on Fridays.
