Upcoming Baby Shower
Jessica Wallace will be honored with a baby shower on October 7 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Robby and Jessica are expecting a girl and they are registered at Target and Babies-R-Us.
Kingston Church of Christ will be hosting the Fifth Sunday area-wide singing on Sunday, September 30.
Sweetwater Church of Christ
You might have noticed that Herbert and Resa Byrd have been "absent" a lot lately. Herbert has been asked to fill the Sweetwater pulpit until August 2008, following the retirement of their preacher, Jack Flowers. Herbert and Resa expect to still be with us on Wednesdays. Please remember them and the Sweetwater congregation in your prayers.
Prayer Chain for Life

Men’s and Ladies’ Wednesday Morning Bible Class
The ladies meet at 10:30 a.m. in room 204 and the men meet in the conference room which is off the office. Becky Kiles will be teaching on “The Virtuous Woman” and Chuck Drum will be teaching “Daniel.”
Alzheimer’s Association Benefit Luncheon
This Wednesday morning the Ladies’ Bible Class is sponsoring a special luncheon to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. This would be an excellent time to bring a friend. If you would like to join us for lunch, donations will be accepted for the Alzheimer’s Association. There will be a memory walk at Maryville College on Saturday, September 29. There are also support pins, auto magnets, and car wash coupons that you can purchase to support the Alzheimer’s Association. If you would like more information and would like to join us in this walk, you can call Norma Adam (856-5216). Checks should be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Tirana Church Building Update
Don’t forget to check the Missions bulletin board if you are interested in helping the Albania Church put the finishing touches on their building. You may give your check (made out to the Maryville church) to Diane or Ralph Warlick with the item noted on it.
Ramblers on the Go
There is information and a sign-up sheet on bulletin board for the extended trip to Fredericksburg, VA on October 8-12. We also plan to drive the Cheroholah Skyway and have lunch in Robbinsville, NC on October 18 and visit Muddy Pond on October 30.
Small Toy Drive
Don’t forget to bring small toys that will be given as prizes to the children in Tirana Bible school classes. You may give them to your Bible school teacher.

Area Wide Devotional Tonight (9/23)
There will be an area wide devotional at Greenback after church services tonight (9/23). We will be taking the bus immediately after worship and return at 9:00 P.M. to the church building.
We still need some volunteers to provide housing for Chuck and LeeAnn Taylor and a group of 28 others from the Jericho church of Christ in North Carolina. They will be arriving around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13. If you can help house some of these folks, please let Walter McClanahan know soon as possible. There is a sign-up list on the bulletin board.
The Breakfast Club will meet this Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the 411 Restaurant. Please call Jerry or Bev Hines for more information.
