Sherry Morris (Bright Pink CG) had a MRI last Tuesday and is waiting on results. Arthur Mabee (Deaf Congregation) remains in the VA Hospital. His address there is Mountain Home VA Medical Center, P. O. Box 6000, Bldg. 160, Arthur Mabee, Mountain Home, TN 37684. Stephen Coleman (Yellow CG) got a good report at his checkup in NC last Wednesday. He will continue with his chemo here in Maryville. Jackie Powers (Deaf Congregation) will have surgery at the Maryville Surgery Center on February 18.

Maryville Friends and Family
One of Linda Roberson’s newborn grandsons was able to go home last week; the other twin remains in the neonatal care nursery at St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville. Stephen Finley, husband of Mary Ann Brock’s granddaughter, has returned safely from Iraq. Tommy Lollar, brother of Mitch Lollar, is seriously ill in Berry, Alabama. Beverly Sanders and Bud Sanders, cousins of Glen Hazel, need our prayers; Beverly recently had a foot amputated and may also have to have the other foot amputated and Bud has cancer. They live in Indiana. Lou Ella Byos, 90 year old aunt of Jean Taylor, is at St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville with a broken pelvis. David Shelton and Ashley Reisser were both hit by cars after an accident during the snow January 30. Ashley is a senior at Maryville High School. Other prayer requests that have been listed in the bulletin previously are now on the bulletin board and in the foyer. There are lists available for you to take home. Please help the church office keep our prayer list current by notifying us of all updates.

Preschool Registration
Stepping Stones Preschool will begin early registration for the 2010-2011 school year on Monday, February 1, 2010. This early registration period is for church members and current students only. Please contact the preschool office to register your child or receive additional information. Early registration ends on February 9th.
WEI Teachers Needed
We need World English Institute internet Bible teachers. It is simple and easy. Each student can be processed in less than 10 minutes and the grading is automated. You will be able to respond to your student’s Bible answers and questions, share your faith and introduce them to God’s word. If you would like to be a WEI internet teacher, send an e-mail to the WEI internet office at: JRTowell -at- aol.com.
Bridal Shower
Amanda Dunbar will be honored at a bridal shower today from 3:30—5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. She is registered at Target, Belk, and Bed, Bath and Beyond. The wedding will be here on March 20.
New Sunday & Wednesday Classes
If you have not been able to look at a new class schedule, there are sheets in the foyer with all the classes listed. Please note the Wednesday class, “The Truth Project”, is limited to 16 people and you must sign up on the bulletin board. If there is enough interest a class on Tuesday or Thursday evening may be added, so sign the waiting list if the class is full.
Going Away Fellowship
We will be honoring Mitch and Jane Lollar at a going away fellowship on Wednesday, February 10, after classes. The Lollars are moving to Missouri; Jane will be leaving February 12 and Mitch will leave at the end of the month. Please bring finger foods to share.
Sewing Class
Wendy Winstead has offered to supervise a sewing class for the ladies. If you have a project you need help with or just want to learn some basics, please let Wendy or Susan Gallaher know. Bring your sewing machine if possible and your project. The next session will be February 20 at 9:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps
The Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps is coming to Blount County on Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21, at Heritage High School. There is information on the bulletin board if you are interested in helping as a professional volunteer (doctor, dentist, nurse, EMT, etc.) or an on-site volunteer. Remote Area Medical will provide free health care, dental care, eye care, and technical and educational assistance to Blount Countians and those in surrounding areas in need.
Ladies’ Activities
Ladies Game Night is Thursday night, February 11th, at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Susan Gallaher. Please bring an appetizer or dessert. If you haven't attended yet, we would love to see you. We have had small groups and large groups and it is always a good mix of ages. There are a couple of games we usually play and it ends around 8:30 p.m. or 9 p.m. We will follow the Blount County School's weather closing schedule, if needed. Contact Susan if you need directions. Ladies, if you are not receiving emails from the Ladies’ Ministry (from Susan’s email) and would like to, please contact her to be added.
Ramblers
The pizza fellowship dinner has been rescheduled for February 21 in the Fellowship Hall after evening services. Pizza will be furnished; please indicate on the sign up sheet if you would like to bring salad or dessert to go with the pizza. New members of our church family (those 50 and above) are invited to join us. ☺ ☺ ☺ We plan to go to Sevierville on February 15 for our annual Valentines diner at the Olive Garden. We will leave the building at 5:00 p.m.; please sign the list if you plan to go with us.
Kick Boxing Class
The kickboxing class now has childcare available on Monday and Thursday night during class. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, please see Leanne Paddock or Amy Whaley. There is also a sign up sheet on the ladies’ bulletin board in the hallway.
Care Group Activities
The Aqua Care Group will have a potluck soup and chili lunch after morning services today. See Ben or Joyce Campbell for more information. The Red Care Group will have a covered dish meal after morning services on February 28. See David or Presty Pittman for more information.
